Ring-tailed Lemur Sweatshirt

The Ring-tailed Lemur (Lemur catta) is one of the most iconic and well-known lemur species, instantly recognizable by its distinctive black-and-white striped tail. Native to Madagascar, these lemurs are primarily found in the southern and southwestern regions of the island, where they inhabit a range of forest types, including dry forests and spiny bushlands. While they are not as critically endangered as some other lemur species, ring-tailed lemurs are still classified as endangered due to habitat loss, illegal hunting, and the impact of human activity on their environment.

Habitat destruction is the biggest threat to the ring-tailed lemur, as much of Madagascar's forest is being cleared for agriculture, logging, and charcoal production. Additionally, they are sometimes hunted for food or captured for the illegal pet trade. The ring-tailed lemur is also vulnerable to the effects of climate change, which can alter the availability of food and water sources in their habitat.
