How It Started
The Faunary was born from a simple frustration: the world rallies behind a handful of famous species while thousands of others disappear without anyone ever learning their names.
Founded by a wildlife biologist who graduated into a post Covid world, The Faunary began as a way to do conservation from home — one species at a time.
What started with a single embroidery machine and a handful of designs has grown into a catalog of over 80 endangered species, each embroidered to order and each carrying the animal's legacy.

Why This Is Happening
The causes aren't mysterious. Habitat destruction leads the list — we've already altered 70% of Earth's ice-free land, converting forests and wetlands into farmland and cities.
Poaching and illegal wildlife trade continue to devastate populations of tigers, elephants, and pangolins.
Climate change is accelerating everything — melting the sea ice that Arctic seals depend on, bleaching the coral reefs that sustain thousands of marine species, and shifting ecosystems faster than wildlife can adapt.
Why The Faunary Exists
The Faunary was built on the belief that awareness is the first step toward action. You can't protect what you've never heard of.
A sweatshirt won't save a species on its own, but it starts a conversation. It puts a name, a face, and a number on something most people never knew was disappearing.
And 20% of every dollar of profit goes directly to the organizations doing the work on the ground — funding patrols, protecting habitats, and keeping these animals alive.
