Gharial Sweatshirt

The gharial is a river-dwelling crocodilian with a long, narrow snout built for snatching fish—and unmistakably crowned with a bulbous nose on males called a “ghara.” Native to the Indian subcontinent, it was once found across major river systems, but now survives in only a few stretches of river in India and Nepal. With fewer than 250 adults in the wild, the gharial has been devastated by damming, sand mining, and entanglement in fishing gear.
