Goblin Shark Sweatshirt

The Goblin Shark (Mitsukurina owstoni) is a deep-sea species known for its bizarre appearance and ancient lineage, often referred to as a “living fossil.” Its long, flattened snout and extendable jaws help it hunt in the dark depths of the ocean. Though sightings are rare, Goblin Sharks are believed to have a wide but sparse distribution in deep waters around the world. Currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN, their exact population status is unclear due to the inaccessibility of their habitat. However, they are still vulnerable to deep-sea trawling, bycatch, and the slow recovery rates typical of deep-sea species.
